A statement from the Board of Trustees
In light of the Government’s announcement advising people to avoid all non-essential social contact including attendance at theatres, we have taken the decision to postpone all upcoming events and close the Theatre.
We are motivated solely by our wish to safeguard the health and well-being of ticket holders, performers and our volunteers who operate the Theatre.
If you have pre-booked tickets for any of our shows via TicketSource, then these will be refunded by TicketSource in the next few days.
We are only able to process refunds where you have booked online via TicketSource. For other events where you have booked directly with the presenting company, please contact them for further information.
We are happy to provide contact details for any company, if you do not have them. Please fill in our Contact Form and we will be happy to assist.
Clearly this unprecedented public health emergency will place financial and other pressures on charities like the Kings Theatre, as well as on the community based drama groups who use the Theatre.
We would therefore ask you to consider giving a donation to the theatre if you are happy to do so, or supporting us through our 100 Club.
If you would like further details on how to make a donation or to become a member of the 100 Club, please fill in our Contact Form, and we will be more than happy to assist.
If all goes well, we hope to resume operations in the Autumn starting with the Crown Players production of Daughters of Eve.
Please accept our best wishes for the coming months
