Welcome to the Kings Theatre

A Tribute to Our Patron, Timothy West CBE – 13th November 2024

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our esteemed Patron, Timothy West CBE. A legendary figure of
stage and screen, Timothy’s remarkable performances in productions like Brass, Edward the Seventh,
and Great Canal Journeys have touched the hearts of many and will continue to inspire for generations to come.

Timothy’s passion and dedication to the arts have left a lasting legacy. We are honoured to have had his support
as our Patron and will always remember his incredible contribution to the world of theatre and beyond.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those who admired his talent.
Rest in peace, Timothy – you will be greatly missed.

The Kings Theatre is run by and for the people of Gloucester as a venue for amateur theatre, dance and music.
Run entirely by volunteers, it is a unique and valuable asset to the city’s cultural life.

Seating 144, it is home to several local groups, staging a full season of entertainment from September to June.

Tucked just off Eastgate Street, close to the heart of Gloucester City Centre is this little gem of a theatre.

The theatre is flexible with accessibility requirements, and is happy to
help arrange and organise your visit as smoothly as possible.

Looking forward, we have many more shows lined up for this year and beyond. Most of these shows have
tickets available on TicketSource, and all upcoming shows can be found on our What’s On Calendar here
