Who we are

Here at The Kings Theatre, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website, and subscribers to our newsletter and volunteer list.

Here you’ll find information on how we treat data that we collect from visitors to our website, or when someone subscribes to our newsletter, or volunteer list.

Types of data we collect
Website

Please see https://kingstheatregloucester.co.uk/cookies-privacy for details of information collected by our website.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information to tell you about upcoming shows, and in the future, other news about The Kings Theatre.

We don’t rent, trade or provide details of our email lists with any other organisation or business.

We use a third-party provider (MailChimp), to deliver our newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks, using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletters.

For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy policy here. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at info@kingstheatregloucester.co.uk

Event Ticketing

When you purchase a ticket through our online Box Office (provided by TicketSource), your name, postal address, email address and contact number will be stored. In order to make the online ticket booking process easier for our customers, we do retain this data on the TicketSource platform indefinitely.

However, should you wish this data to be amended or removed, please contact our data protection officer at info@kingstheatregloucester.co.uk and we will promptly act upon your request.

TicketSource does not store any credit/debit card data except for last 4 digits of the card number, and this is available only so that we can confirm the buyer’s identity in the case that a ticket is lost or misplaced.

You may of course, purchase a ticket (or tickets) in person from our on-site Box Office without supplying any personal data. However, this will need to be a cash payment as card payments require us to obtain personal data for fraud prevention purposes.

Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.

Please also see the TicketSource general privacy policy here.

In the event that a presenting company is selling their own tickets, or using another third party to provide a ticket selling service, then their Privacy Policy will be applicable instead of ours.

Access to your personal information

Under GDPR, you are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer at info@kingstheatregloucester.co.uk
